Virgilio Boado Laroco, passed away on January 14, 2024. Born at Agoo, La Union, Philippines on March 10, 1947 where he spent his early years before coming to US in 1969.
A seeker of excellence and a master of perseverance, Virgilio earned degrees of Nursing, Engineering and Real Estate while working on previous jobs. Armed with passion to educate, he taught as a Nursing Clinical Instructor at James C. Giuffré Medical Center. He initially started his Nursing career in Temple University and spent his 35 years of dedication and loyalty as an ICU/ CCU/ER nurse in Jefferson Methodist Hospital.
Virgilio is a certified music enthusiast. He loves to play saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, guitar and piano. He enjoys spending his free time on fishing, cooking, baking and thrifting. His other interests are cars, flea markets and films.
Virgilio is survived by "Lakay" to his wife, "Dad" to his children, and Biyo" to his family, “Kuya Ver” to his friends, “Virgil” to his colleagues, “Tito/ Uncle Biyo” to his nieces and nephews, truly a man who touched a lot of lives and will be remembered for his generosity, humor, love and inspiring story. Interment will take place in his home country of the Philippines.
