Legacy Package: Complete Traditional Funeral & Cremation Package

When a family is deciding between a traditional funeral and cremation, the honest answer is often: why choose? At Pennsylvania Burial Company — Baldi Funeral Home, our Legacy Package was built for families who want a full, meaningful service with the body present, followed by cremation. It's a complete traditional funeral and a lasting way to honor a loved one, without forcing a choice between the two paths.

For four generations, our family has served Philadelphia families from the same building on South Broad Street. The Legacy Package reflects that same philosophy: transparency, dignity, and no surprises during one of the hardest weeks of your life.

What Is the Legacy Package?

The Legacy Package is a complete traditional funeral with the body present for viewing and services, followed by cremation rather than burial. It gives families the full experience of a traditional service — gathering, viewing, ceremony — while choosing cremation as the final disposition.

Complete package price: $7,500

What's Included

The Legacy Package is designed to cover the full arc of arrangements, from the moment your loved one is brought into our care through the final keepsake you take home:

  • Transfer of your loved one to the funeral home
  • Professional preparation, including embalming, dressing, and cosmetology
  • Professional services of our licensed funeral directors and staff
  • Comfortable facilities with ample off-street parking
  • Casket for the viewing and service
  • Cremation following the funeral service
  • Selected Statesman wood urn with an engraved brass nameplate
  • One official Pennsylvania state death certificate (a $20 value)
  • Stationery package, including prayer cards, a register book, and acknowledgment cards

What's Not Included

We believe in pricing families can plan around, so here's what falls outside the package:

  • Clergy honorarium, if applicable
  • Hearse transportation to a church or other place of worship ($595)

Is the Legacy Package Right for Your Family?

Families often choose this option when they want the comfort of a traditional viewing and service — a chance for family and friends to gather and say goodbye in person — but prefer cremation over ground burial for personal, religious, financial, or practical reasons. It's a middle path that honors both tradition and choice.

If you're weighing cremation against burial more broadly, our team is always glad to walk through the differences in cost, process, and meaning so you can choose what feels right for your family.

Plan Ahead, or Reach Out When You Need Us

Whether you're planning now for the future or need help today, our licensed directors are here to guide you through every decision with warmth and honesty — no pressure, no guesswork.
