Lotus Package:

Buddhist Traditional Funeral & Cremation Package

- Baldi Funeral Home

For Philadelphia's Buddhist, Chinese, and Vietnamese communities, a funeral is more than a service — it's a sacred passage that deserves to be honored with the right rituals, the right setting, and staff who understand what each tradition requires.

At Pennsylvania Burial Company – Baldi Funeral Home, our Lotus Package was built specifically for families who want a complete Buddhist traditional funeral, carried out with reverence, followed by cremation.

Our funeral home includes a dedicated second-floor Buddhist chapel, bilingual staff fluent in Chinese, Vietnamese, Khmer, and a team experienced in coordinating every detail a traditional Buddhist service requires — from monk transportation to the final procession to the crematory.

What Is the Lotus Package?

The Lotus Package (Gói Hoa Sen) is a complete Buddhist traditional funeral with the body present for viewing and ceremony, followed by cremation. It's designed so families never have to choose between an authentic, fully-honored traditional service and a modern cremation — this package delivers both, guided by staff trained in the customs Buddhist families expect.

Complete package price: $8,900

What's Included

The Lotus Package covers every stage of the funeral, from the moment your loved one is brought into our care through the final urn you bring home:

  • Professional service charges of the funeral director and bilingual staff
  • Obituaries are prepared in Chinese, Vietnamese and/or Khmer by our staff
  • Transportation of Buddhist monks by the funeral home
  • 3–4 hour evening viewing, plus morning viewing hours
  • Embalming, dressing, and local removal from the place of death
  • Candles, incense, and full use of our second-floor Buddhist chapel
  • Cremation casket and a wood Statesman urn with a brass nameplate
  • Witnessing and procession to the crematory
  • Hearse and six professional pallbearers, provided by the funeral home
  • One official death certificate from Pennsylvania or New Jersey

Every detail — from the incense to the chapel space to the procession — is handled by a team that understands why each of these steps matters.

Bilingual Service, Every Step of the Way

Grief is hard enough without a language barrier standing between your family and the person guiding you through it. That's why our team offers full bilingual support in Chinese, Vietnamese, and Khmer alongside English, so every conversation — from the first phone call to the final ceremony — happens in the language your family is most comfortable with.

Why Families Choose the Lotus Package

Families come to us for the Lotus Package because they want a funeral home that doesn't just accommodate Buddhist tradition — it's built around it. A dedicated chapel space, staff who can transport and coordinate with monks, and an obituary written in the family's own language all mean one less thing to explain, translate, or worry about during an already difficult time.

It's also a package built for clarity. One price, a full list of what's included, and a team ready to walk you through every step — no surprises, no guesswork.

Planning Ahead, or Need Help Today

Whether you're pre-planning for the future or need guidance right now, our compassionate staff is here to support your family with dignity, respect, and understanding — in the language and tradition that means the most to you.
