Rather than leaving families to piece together every individual detail, our packages are designed to provide a thoughtful starting point while still allowing the service to reflect the person being remembered.

The Legacy Package

A Traditional Funeral Followed by Cremation

Some families want the familiarity and comfort of a traditional funeral—the opportunity to have their loved one present, gather together for a viewing, hold a meaningful ceremony, and say goodbye in person—but ultimately prefer cremation rather than cemetery burial.

Our Legacy Package was created specifically for those families.

The package combines a traditional funeral with the body present for the viewing and service, followed by cremation.

The current complete package price is $7,500.

The Legacy Package Includes:

Transfer of your loved one to the funeral home
Professional preparation, including embalming, dressing, and cosmetology
Professional services of our licensed funeral directors and staff
Use of our comfortable funeral home facilities
Ample off-street parking for family and guests
Casket for the viewing and funeral service
Cremation following the funeral
Selected Statesman wood urn with an engraved brass nameplate
One official Pennsylvania death certificate
Prayer cards
Register book
Acknowledgment cards

The package does not currently include a clergy honorarium, when applicable, or hearse transportation to a church or other place of worship.

Buddhist Traditional Funeral & Cremation Services

Every family brings its own traditions to a funeral.

For Buddhist families, many of those traditions carry profound spiritual meaning—from incense and prayer to the presence of monks, ceremonial practices, procession, and the final journey to the crematory.

Our Lotus Package was created for families who want those customs understood and respected from the beginning.

It provides a complete Buddhist traditional funeral with the body present for viewing and ceremony, followed by cremation.

The current complete package price is $8,900.

The Lotus Package Includes:

Professional services of the funeral director and bilingual staff
Obituary preparation in Chinese, Vietnamese and/or Khmer
Transportation of Buddhist monks by the funeral home
A 3–4 hour evening viewing
Additional morning viewing hours
Embalming and dressing
Local transfer of your loved one
Candles and incense
Use of our dedicated second-floor Buddhist chapel
Cremation casket

More Than Providing a Room for a Buddhist Funeral

There is an important difference between a funeral home that simply permits a Buddhist ceremony and one that understands what the traditions mean.

Our team has experience coordinating Buddhist services, working with monks, preparing the ceremonial space, accommodating incense and prayer, arranging the procession, and assisting families whose preferred language may not be English.

Our dedicated Buddhist chapel provides families with a setting specifically suited to these traditions.

The goal is simple: families should not have to spend an already difficult week repeatedly explaining the traditions that matter to them.

Legacy Package vs. Lotus Package

Both packages provide a traditional funeral with the body present followed by cremation, but they are designed around different family needs.

The Legacy Package is intended for families seeking a traditional viewing and funeral followed by cremation.

The Lotus Package incorporates the additional ceremonial, cultural, language, staffing, and transportation needs associated with a traditional Buddhist funeral.

Neither approach is about choosing the "right" funeral.

Four Generations of Our Family Serving Your Family

Pennsylvania Burial Company has deep roots in South Philadelphia.

The Jacovini and Baldi families have continued the family's funeral service tradition for more than a century, and the business has operated from its South Broad Street location since the 1940s. Today, the fourth generation continues that tradition of personal service.

Funeral traditions have changed over the years.
